A Reef Life Lesson

Updated: Oct 4, 2020

I climbed Cerro Jamanota, one of the three mountains in Aruba, to catch the sunset with Angie.

On the way home, she shared a story that impacted me.

There was a time when there was contention on the island around the divers. They had broken a corral reef in the ocean and the islanders were so upset about it being destroyed.

After some time, they found the reef wasn't destroyed after all. What they found was the reef actually grew back bigger and stronger than before the divers broke it.

In essence, what was perceived as broken was actually what was needed, in order to reach another level of potential.
