Have you ever had one of those days?
You did all of the preparation in the world before your event/task/launch and when it came time for execution...everything seemed to go wrong?
This was my afternoon!
One email, after another signaled, "Abort Mission...Call in for back up...Mayday! Mayday!"
In the moment...as it was all going to sh*t, I managed to yell a few superlatives and throw a few pieces of paper as I stomped around in my room...hoping I would feel better. And, since I didn't...I decided to pour a drink.
My room had the door opened, and I stomped out of it (thinking I was all alone) with tequila on my mind.
I turn the corner and to my surprise, I see my friend's husband on the couch reading on his phone.
I stopped in my tracks.
"Did you just hear all of that?" I asked...and his reply, "Are you ok?"
A part of me died a little inside, as I typically like to have my meltdowns in private.
I decided an apology and a joke was the next best thing to help me feel better.
Lucky for me, he was gracious and kind and told me it's all going to be ok.
That didn't stop me from pouring a tequila on the rocks, but it put a smile on my face and a little buzz in my heart, which turned my mood right around.
