Today I asked for courage.
In my meditation, she asked us to envision the feeling we wanted to have in the future.
I saw myself on the second floor of a home looking out over the ocean. The wind blowing my hair back, my arms outstretched to the sky and I could hear the waves of the ocean crashing from my balcony.
He walked up behind me, wrapping his arms tightly around me.
Over the last year, I've learned there is freedom in allowing what is meant for me to find me.
It took getting on my knees and surrendering for me feel this freedom.
This is not to say I've lost my drive, creativity and ambition. Those parts of my personality are still present.
What has diminished is my desire to control the outcome.
I've released the who and how and focused on the feeling of what I want in my life.
As for my vision, I'm not sure what ocean I'm on or what man has his arms wrapped around me, but the desired feeling is the state that will find me.
This is the beauty of not being attached to the outcome.
You don't have to worry about the events themselves, once you know how you want to feel, you've set the direction and your experiences will follow.
Do you trust yourself to surrender?
